About Me

I’m an aficionado of the fashion world with a longing for the effortless style that was so commonplace in the mid-twentieth century, but which today seems only to appear in the likes of Vogue and Tatler. I love the world that these magazines encapsulate.

I myself have fallen foul of the fast-fashion world, been pulled in by its plastic teeth, had my style chewed out of me and replaced by crop tops and Hervé Léger bandage dresses. Looking through old Vogue covers gave me food for thought.

I don’t want to be ‘fashionable’ anymore. I’m breaking free of the fast-fashion chains and taking my inspiration not from H&M adverts, but from the people and eras which I admire.

That isn’t to say you can’t shop on the high-street but it’s about thinking long-term. It’s about thinking about who you are, what your style is. Look beyond the temporary, often gaudy fashion of today and take your own style journey.

I hope this blog will help you to do that.
